There are times I feel we must disconnect from technology and distractions. I take my family where we can focus on what is important. Simply us.
My family loves serenity and the great outdoors. If we can experience that in the places we vacation, makes it more special. I can say we have found this natural joy while staying at both the Elk Country Hideaway in Benezette and The Clear Creek Cottage in Clarington.
Benezette is a world away from the city. To see PA-wild, free-roaming elk in an untouched, natural setting is something to behold. Paradise not far from home!
Elk Country Hideaway is home away from home. Everything you need except your food. We played board games, watched a movie, had a campfire and just enjoyed the large deck. The tranquility of the home is breathtaking itself. If you have never seen PA’s wild elk it’s well worth a trip!
The Clear Creek Cottage had all the amenities similar to the Hideaway. It was nestled in among pines and behind the house, a short path leads you to the beautiful Clarion River. Kayaking, tubing, and fishing right out our back door. There were plenty of things to do just a short distance from The Clear Creek Cottage. State Parks, wineries, and attractions. We saw an eagle and deer during our stay. The beautiful pines made it so peaceful and soothing.
Although we have never stayed at either during the winter months, they are both available to rent year round. I can only imagine the beauty of winter at either setting.
If you are looking for a place to unplug, get away, bond and get back to the basics with the family, a group of girls or a romantic weekend, trust me you need to call the Elk Country Hideaway or The Clear Creek Cottage today.
